Challenge Cup:

Congratulations to Hockey Nova Scotia’s u-16 women’s hockey team for bringing home the gold at the Atlantic Challenge Cup, they defeated P.E.I 4-0 in the Championship Game!
There were a few Subway Selects on the team, so a shout out to Sara Stewart, Megan Smith, Ava Gennoe and Abigail Mackenzie for winning gold!

The U-14 team lost to  2-1 to Team New Brunswick in the championship to win silver.

The U-18 team defeated P.E.I to win the bronze.

The Weeks Major Midgets were in action twice this weekend,
The lost to the Valley Wildcats 4-3 in OT on Saturday but rebounded on Sunday to defeat the Halifax Macs 7-5.

Junior B:

The Pictou County Scotians lost to East Hants on Sunday, 6-2 the final.

QMJHL:

Last night,

The Mooseheads defeated the Charlottetown Islanders 4-1.

NFL:

Monday night football saw the Packers come from behind to beat the Lions 23-22.

MLB:

The Washington Nationals beat the Cardinals 8-1 and are now 1 win away from heading to the World Series.

The Yankees and Astros are tied at 1 game apiece. Game 3 is tonight at 5pm.

NHL:

Last night,

The Bruins doubled the Ducks 4-2.
The Wild blanked the Sens 2-0.
The Avalanche beat the Capitals 6-3.
The Oilers suffered their first loss of the season 3-1 to Chicago.
