Leo Fahey:

The Canadians defeated the Leafs 4-3 in Leo Fahey hockey action this past week at the Westville Miners Sports Center.

Two goals by Debbie MacLean and singles by Lisa Seymour and Janet Landry led the Canadians.
Alana Mason, Bethany Martin and Leslie Martin replied for the Leafs.

The Northern Selects picked up a big win in Kentville over Station Six 3-1.

Lucas Canning was the hero for the Weeks Major Midgets, he scored his second of the game in OT to defeat the South Shore Mustangs 5-4.

NSJHL:

The Pictou County Jr B Scotians lost to Eskasoni 5-2 on Saturday night.

QMJHL:

Charlettetown defeated the Mooseheads 7-2.
The Sea Dogs shut out Acadie Bathurst 3-0.
The Wildcats defeated the Cape Breton Eagles 4-1.

NFL:

In playoffs,

The 49ers eliminate the Vikings 27-10.
The Titans took down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens 28-12.
The Chiefs came back after being down 24-0 in the first quarter to win 51-31.
The Packers hold off the Seahawks to eliminate them 28-23.

NHL:

The Preds shut out the Jets 1-0.
The Canucks defeated the Wild 4-1.
Buffalo embarrassed Detroit 5-1.
The Penguins took down the Coyotes 4-3 in a shootout.
The Devils beat the Lightning 3-1.
The Panthers doubled the Leafs 8-4.
