NBA:
The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.
This decision was reached after Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert reportedly tested positive Wednesday for the coronavirus, a move that came only hours after the majority of the league’s owners were leaning toward playing games without fans in arenas.
Maritime Hockey League:
The MHL playoffs begin tomorrow night with a couple key matchups.
The Campbellton Tigers will take on the Edmundston Blizzard and the Truro Bearcats will tangle with the Yarmouth Mariners.
The Weeks Jr A Crushers kick off their playoff series against Amherst on Saturday in Amherst. Game 2 will be Monday at the Wellness Centre.
QMJHL:
One game of note last night, the Moncton Wildcats took down the Cape Breton Eagles 3-0.
NHL:
The Blackhawks took down the Sharks 6-2.
The Jets doubled the Oilers 4-2.
The Blues defeated the Ducks 4-2.
The Kings got the best of Ottawa 3-2.
J.T. Compher was the hero in OT as the Avalanche defeated the Rangers 3-2.
