In Women’s Rugby, StFX defeated UPEI 65-5. Including 8 try’s in the first half of play.

NSMMFHL:

Northern Subway Selects started there regular season this weekend and recorded  2 wins at home.
They defeated the Edza East Moncton Rockets 3-0 on Saturday, Sara Stewart, Haley Harrison and Olivia Fitt with the goals.
Hallee Faulkner with the shut out.

On Sunday they defeated the Rockets 4-2. Jayden Langille had a goal, Sarah Stewart with a pair and Megan Smith with the other goal.

Selects will play Edza West Reds next weekend at PCWC Saturday Sept 28 12pm and Sunday Sept 29th @ 12pm.

Junior B:

In Junior B action, the Pictou County Subway Scotians dropped a game to the Cole Harbour Colts 5-4 in a shootout.

MLB:

Luis Severino struck out 9 to keep the Jays in check as the Yankees would roll to a 8-3 win.

Sunday football, The Detroit Lions beat the Eagles 27-24.
The Texans beat the Chargers 27-20.
The 49ers squeaked by the Steelers 24-20.
The Saints held on to beat the Seahawks 33-27.
The Packers tamped the Broncos 27-16.
The Bills defeated the Bengals 21-17
The Cowboys dummied the Dolphins 31-6
The Patriots handled the Jets 30-14.
