The New Jersey Devils made a coaching change before the games began last night..
They fired head coach John Hynes a day after they were routed 7-1 by the Sabres. He will be replaced by  Alain Nasreddine who has 74 games of NHL experience as a player, he’s been an assistant coach in New Jersey for the last 4 years.

The Capitals defeated the Sharks 5-2.
The Vancouver Canucks picked up a big win over Ottawa 5-2.
The Jets downed the Stars 5-1.
The Lightning needed an OT hero and Nikita Kucherov fits that bill, he scored halfway through the extra frame to lift the Lightning over the Preds 3-2.
Arizona doubled the Blue Jackets 4-2.
The Golden Knights defeated the Devils 4-3.
The Bruins shut out the Hurricanes 2-0.
The Flyers scored 5 times in the last 10 minutes of the 3rd to beat the Leafs 6-1.
Finally! The Montreal Canadiens have snapped their 8 game losing streak to beat the Islanders 4-2.
