Women’s Hockey:

Team Canada and Team USA battled it out in Moncton for a pre-women’s world championship game.
Team USA picked up the 2-1 victory,  Ann-Sophie Bettez scored the only goal for Canada. The US now leads the 5 game rivalry series 2 games to 0. They play again on February 3rd in BC.

NHL:

The Kings got the OT Winner from Anze Kopitar to lift them over the Bruins 4-3.
The Leafs got a pair of goals from Matthews to beat the Sabres 5-3.
Anthony Cirelli got the winner in Tampa as the Lightning defeat the Sens 4-3.
Nashville smoked the Islanders 8-3.
The Flyers beat the Ducks 4-1.
The Blue Jackets handed the Red Wings their 24th loss of the year with a 5-3 win.
The Hurricanes doubled the Jets 6-3, Svechnikov scored his second lacrosse style goal of the year in that one.
The Penguins beat the Flames 4-1.
The Golden Knights topped the Wild 3-2.
The Yotes beat the Sharks 3-2. Taylor Hall got an assist in his first game with Arizona.
The Montreal Canadiens started a 7 game road swing with a  big 3-1 win over Vancouver.
