Opening day was yesterday in the MLB,
The Yankees opened the scoring with a 3 run 1st to beat the Orioles 7-2.
Bryce Harper had a bunch of standing ovations in Philly as he went 1-3 with 2 strike outs, didn’t matter as the Phillies still beat the Braves 10-4.
The Cubs racked a 6 run 5th to get by the Rangers 12-4 Javier Baez with 2 home runs to start the year.
The Mariners started the season strong hammering 12 runs against the defending champs and won 12-4.
The bats were silent in Toronto as they dropped a 2-0 decision to the Tigers.
NHL:
The Red Wings got the winner in OT thanks to Tyler Bertuzzi to beat the Sabres 5-4.
The Capitals one-upped the Hurricanes 3-2.
The Panthers beat the Senators 5-2.
The Islanders just squeaked by the Jets 5-4.
The Stars needed a shootout to get by the Oilers 3-2. (Connor McDavid scored his 40th of the year)
