Closures, Cancellations, and Delayed Openings Thursday February 12th 2026:

CCRCE – All CCRCE schools (Cumberland County, Colchester County, Pictou County and the Municipality of East Hants) will be closed today, February 12, 2026, due to ongoing weather forecast and road conditions. Office and worksites will be delayed opening by 2 hours.

StFX – Due to deteriorating weather conditions, please be advised that StFX university will delay opening until 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 12. Classes will resume at 2:30 PM.

NSCC Pictou – Closed due to weather.

Pictou County Transit – Service cancelled today due to weather. 

East Side Family Restaurant – Closed for the day due to road conditions.

Pictou County Solid Waste Management Facility – Delayed opening until 12pm.

Waste Collection in Pictou County – Waste collection has been cancelled for today, Thursday February 12th. It is rescheduled for Saturday February 14th. Please have material curbside by 7:00am Saturday.

ActiveLife Physiotherapy – We will have a delayed opening of 9am and reassess in the morning.
