CARMA Cat Rescue Maritimes – Pictou County Chapter is an all-volunteer charity helping homeless and feral cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), fostering and adoption. Pea-Quinn

Do you need a lively socialite to bring some vibrancy to your home? She is both a cheerleader and a watchful eye (she critiques my work regularly as site foreman).
Pea-Quinn might be the answer to all you have been hoping for! Especially, if you want to finally strike that work-life balance, and an hourly reminder to center your chi and pet a cat for a few strokes will help you with your stress and self-care!
She is a great blend of affectionate and enthusiastic. Solidarity is her love-language. As long as she is with her person, she could live in a one room cabin and be content. She wants to be included. She is is constantly inquiring about ‘what are WE doing now/next.’ She wants friends to play with. She is currently in a room with houseplants and is not interested in destroying them! She also is not interested in scratching the furniture, however, she loves the rope and cardboard scratcher as her nails are growing quickly now that she has a regular supply of food. She will herd you to snuggle and bring you to either the couch where you can sit together or to her bed, where she expects to be pet. Her fur is silky soft.
She will eat any bug in the house, even a little ant. This is likely what she was forced to live off in the winter as a kitten…Often, when cats have to hunt to feed themselves, their play instincts are reserved for food-finding. Now that she has had regular food, warmth, safety and affection, she is llearned that playing can be fun, and she is learning that humans and cats play differently together. She loves to play with wand toys and will do so until she is exhausted!
She enjoys face bumps, butt scratches, shoulder rubs, and full force pets up and down the length of her body once she lays down! This Sweet Pea’s enthusiasm is also a strength that she tends to over-do. When she is being pet and is overly excited, she will love-nip you. This is signifigantly decreasing now that she is finishing teething. She is learning that humans and cats play diferently, and she gets confused sometimes when she takes you as one of her family. For this reason, we encourage her to play with wand toys or strings and not your hands/arms. She will not be suitable in a home where her new family would not understand this about her. She will thrive with a family that wants to continue reinforcing the diference between love amoung cats and how to love a human. It is highly possible that Pea-Quinn never saw a human until she was trapped.
We believe Pea-Quinn is nearing 8 months. She is slow to warm, slow to trust, but once she does, she is all about your life together! She will form the deepest bond you have ever had with a cat.
We are confident that she will continue to develop in her forever home. She is healthy and happy, and comes when you call her!
She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Pea-Quinn has been spayed, parasite-treated, and is fully vaccinated.
