Softball:
Leo Fahey Twilight Ladies softball League held at the Albion Field in Stellarton.
The Yankees defeated the Red Sox 7-5 in the first game.
Cindy Ryan, Jennifer MacDonald and laura Fillier each had a double and single to pace the Yankees with Samantha Williams and Theresa Dewar picking up singles.
The Red Sox and Cardinals played to a 9-9 tie in the second game.
Kate Bray, Laura Turner and Susan Rogers each had two singles each for the Red Sox.
Lisa James paced the Cardinals with a home run and triple while Debbie D’Entremont had a double and single each while Sherri Farrell , Sherry MacLeod and Arden Ehler chipped in with a single each.
In the evenings final game the Cardinals scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to earn a 5-5 tie with the Blue jays.
Lindsay Casey, Meaghan Purvis and Dawn Cleary each stroked two singles each to lead the Cardinals attack.
Jill Gratto, Paulette Sequoria , Debbie MacLean and Judith Rogers all had a double and single to lead the Blue Jays.

The Jays came up short against the Dodgers again last night. IT was a 9th inning collapse, the Jays were up 2 going into the ninth but the Dodgers managed 3 runs to beat the Jays for the 3rd time in a row.
