MHL:

The 2019/2020 season kicked off with a bang! The Wellness Centre was rocking last night and so was the home team. Logan Van Der Meeracker scored 2 power play goals as he crept into the crease twice for similar off hand one-timer tallies to life the Crushers to a 3-1 win over the Red Wings. Sullivan Sparkes had 3 assists and Sam Leblanc had 2 assists. Kevin Mason buried an empty net to end it late in the 3rd.

The Crushers are in action this Friday in Liverpool as they take on the national women’s team before heading back to the Wellness Centre next Thursday to battle the Amherst Ramblers.

CFL:

Week 13 in the CFL kicks off tonight, the Ottawa Red Blacks are taking on the BC Lions, that game is at 11pm.

MLB:

The Boston Red Sox handed the Blue Jays their 90th loss of the season yesterday beating them 7-4.
