Alex was born and raised in Halifax but has anchored down and now calls Pictou County home.

He was introduced to the melodic sounds of the electric guitar at a young age, which sparked his interest in guitarists like Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Johnny Winter and others which blossomed into a full on love for Classic Rock. In High school he played hockey, football and rugby as well as drums for several (terrible) rock bands in the downtown Halifax area before attending and graduating from NSCC with a degree in radio performance and audio production.

Alex is currently on the board of directors for several not-for-profit groups around the community and does color commentary for the Weeks Jr A Crushers of the Maritime Hockey League.

He brings his unique style of community and comedy to the airwaves Monday-Friday from 3p-7p
