Appointments can be booked at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ by choosing the asymptomatic option. Rapid testing pop-up sites continue to be set up around the province as well. More information on testing can be found at

“BUTTERGATE” EXPANDS AS FARMERS FEAR CONSUMER BACKLASH

The recent discovery that palm oil is given to Canadian Dairy Cows in flake, pellet and micropill form to boost butterfat is creating more headlines. Over the past few years, a number of studies have shown that processed Palm Oil has been proven to encourage the spread of cancer. That has Canadian Dairy farmers scrambling to get rid of it in their butter before they lose their share of the market. It’s a market that’s been building up during the pandemic, as more people bake with it. Sylvain Charlebois at Dalhousie University and others say the way to avoid palm oil in your butter, for now, is to look for organic butter and the stuff that’s produced by grass-fed cattle. And the group known as the Dairy Farmers of Canada is telling its farmers to eliminate the palm oil supplements their cattle have been fed until more is proven.

Summary offence tickets and other court fines can be paid online, but despite that, the extension is meant for everyone accused.
