Pictou County is under a Wind Warning, and there’s also a Special Weather Statement for the stormy conditions expected on Wednesday.
After we see about 5 to 10cm of snow Wednesday morning, total rainfall of 10 to 20 mm is expected.
With the Wind Warning, strong winds of 90 to 100 km/h are expected.
Areas with saturated ground are at increased risk for uprooting of trees, especially in areas already impacted by recent major wind storms.

A new study from Halifax’s Dalhousie University has found that artificial intelligence, or AI, could help detect skin cancers before they become serious.
Researchers uploaded pictures of lesions or moles into an AI system which provided analysis of whether or not a lesion was cancerous and required removal.
Four dermatologists also independently evaluated the images and provided their own assessment and analysis.
The study found that the AI system’s ability to detect skin cancers like melanoma was comparable to experienced dermatologists.
