Pictou County District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Sonya ‘Skye’ Leah Hubley, who was last heard from on June 20.
Hubley is described as 5-foot-7, 150 lbs. She has dark brown hair and blue eyes with tattoos on wrist, forearm and shoulders. She was last seen wearing a long black top, denim jeans and a black backpack.

The province has invested $650,000 to upgrade three outdoor recreational facilities in the town of Trenton.
The upgrades will include a new skateboard park, pickleball court and multisport court equipped with basketball and road hockey nets. These upgraded facilities will be located on the corner of Main Street, First Street and Duchess Avenue, down from the future home of the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame.
The Scotia Park Ball Field on Strickland Avenue will also be assessed for necessary upgrades.
The funding for these upgrades is a one-time grant from the Department of Communities, Culture, Heritage and Tourism.
The work on these facilities is expected to be completed by fall 2024.
The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation’s sales went up nearly two per cent in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, netting $874.5 million.
According to a news release from the NSLC, total sales went up 1.6 per cent, while earnings decreased 0.3 per cent to $238.8 million.
Beverage alcohol sales went up 0.5 per cent to $753.4 million while the total volume sold dropped by 4.2 per cent. Cannabis sales netted $121 million, having an 8.9 per cent increase.
