New Liberal Leader Mark Carney is promising a “seamless” and “quick” transition as he gets ready to take the reins from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
In the coming days, Carney will need to be sworn in as prime minister, name a new cabinet and sort out his plans for the coming federal election.

Nova Scotia Health is hosting its annual provincial career fair later this month. Representatives from various departments will be in 11 different communities across the province on March 27th to discuss career and volunteer opportunities with those interested. Nova Scotia Health says its first career fair last April led to the hiring of more than 200 people with more than 17-hundred leads generated. In New Glasgow, the fair will be held at Pictou County Wellness Centre from 10am to 7pm on March 27th.
