Colchester County R-C-M-P say three youths are facing sexual assault charges after police received a complaint last month about a hockey team’s hazing ritual. Police say the allegations involve a hockey team in the Truro area. Investigators say a youth reported being assaulted during a private team gathering in October. Police say they collected statements from multiple witnesses, which led to allegations that other offences occurred at different locations, involving additional victims and witnesses.

Slight increases overnight in both gas and diesel prices in Nova Scotia. The price of regular gasoline went up by 1.9 cents per litre, putting the minimum pump price for regular self-serve gasoline at $1.37 per litre in the local area. The price of diesel increased by 1.5 cents per litre, leaving the minimum pump price for self-serve diesel at $1.82 per litre locally.
A new push from the federal government to get public servants back into the office is meeting pushback.
The mandate calls for executives to be back full-time starting May 4th, while all other employees must be in the office four days a week as of July 6th.
