The NHL and the NHL Players’ Association announced Thursday — at the request of the players — it was postponing two playoff games scheduled for that evening and the two set for Friday in the aftermath of Blake’s shooting, and in response to the wider issues surrounding systemic racism, social justice and police brutality.

The Toronto Blue Jays-Boston Red Sox Major League Baseball game was postponed Thursday night in the aftermath of the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, in Wisconsin last weekend.
Jacob was shot 7 times in the back as his 3 children between the ages of 3 and 8 watched from the back seat of the car. The police officer has yet to be arrested.
