StFX:

The StFX X-Men begin their football season this weekend against Mount Allison. Kickoff is 2pm from StFX.

Roller Derby:

Pictou County’s one and only roller derby team, the Kickin’ Vixens will be hosting their only home game this year on August 24 at the Trenton Rink.

The triple header event will see the vixens take on the Dockyard Brawlers from Halifax and Rebel Riot from Windsor.

The games will take place at Trenton Rink, August 24 with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. and the games beginning at 2 p.m.

LLWS:

Canada was eliminated from the Little League World Series following an 8-1 loss to the Caribbean team on Monday.

Curley Martha and Nathan Castillo each had two hits and drove in a run for the Caribbean representatives from Curacao.
