Hockey:

The Ontario Hockey League is hoping for a February 4th season start. Training camps are expected to open on January 25 and the OHL is also expected to unveil an eight-team playoff format.
The Carolina Hurricanes and defenceman Haydn Fleury have agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.6 million contract extension.
Tyler Bertuzzi was awarded a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings by an independent arbitrator Tuesday.
