Tonight’s the night, it’s all on the line between the Weeks Jr A Crushers and the South Shore Lumberjacks.
The Crushers need to win tonight in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. Here’s how the Crushers can still make the playoffs.
If they win both games against the South Shore Lumberjacks tonight and tomorrow night.
If they pick up 3 points in the next two games, an OT loss and a Win and the Bearcats lose to the Ramblers Saturday in Amherst.
In a head to head matchup vs the Lumberjacks, the Crushers are 2-0-2 going into tonight’s game. South Shore has scored 23 goals so far this series and the Crushers have netted 21. this is going to go down to the wire tonight at the Wellness Center!
NSJHL:
The Pictou County Scotians are on the ropes against the Jr. Miners. Game 5 goes tonight night in Membertou. The Pictou County Jr B Scotians are down 3-1 in the series but are looking to bounce back with a couple of big wins. That puck drops at 7:30.
PCMHL:
The Trenton Steelers started off their playoffs with a 14-1 victory over the Thorburn Golden Hawks last night in Westville. Scoring for the Steelers was Ethan MacKay with 4,Derrick Mackay with 3, Jake Maloney 2, Landon Martin with 2, Thai Macdonald, Brett butler and Jesse Arbuckle all adding one.
Thorburn goal came from Cale Cameron. Winning goalie was Caden Macdonald.
AUS:
The UNB Reds have defended their AUS title with a 7-1 victory over the StFX X-Men last night, winning the best-of-three Subway AUS championship final series in two straight games. The title marked the Reds’ sixth one in the past nine years.
Canada:
Big congrats to Halifax’s Jill Saulnier and Stellarton’s Blayre Turnbull on being selected to represent Team Canada at the 2019 Womens World Hockey Championship in Finland this April. All the best, Jill and Blayre!
QMJHL:
A pretty full schedule of games in the Q last night,
The Charlottetown Islanders defeated Val-Dor in OT 3-2.
The Screaming Eagles got the win against the Wild Cats 4-3 in a shootout.
Baie-Comeau beat Drummondville 3-2.
Rouyn-Noranda hammered Shawinigan 8-3.
The Ramparts got a shootout win against the Phoenix 5-4.
The Tigres got the upper hand against the Armada, winning that one 4-1.
NHL:
Few games last night,
The Capitals defeated the Flyers 5-3.
The Canucks shocked the Leafs in OT 3-2.
The Blues one-upped the Ducks 5-4.
The Golden Knights upended the Flames 2-1.
