PCMHL:
The Trenton Peewee Steelers defeated the Brookfield Elks Tuesday evening in Brookfield by a score of 11-2. Scoring for the Steelers was Jake Maloney and Landon Martin with Hat tricks, Ethan Mackay 2, Derrick Mackay, Seth Francis, and Brett Butler adding singles.
Brookfields goals came from Rownin Kravis and Carter Angevine. Winning goalie was Caden Macdonald.
The Steelers will end their season this coming weekend in port Hawksbury as they will be attending their annual tournament.
Round 2 of the playoffs begin this Saturday for the Northern AAA Subway Selects, They face off against the Station Six Fire this Saturday at 2:15 and Sunday at 12:15! Come on out to the Wellness Centre and cheer on the Selects! The winner of this best of 3 playoff series will go on to play in the Atlantics next month in New Brunswick.
AUS:
The 2019 U Sports Men’s Hockey Championships begin on Thursday from Lethbridge. The StFX X-Men begin the tournament on Friday against Queens, that game begins at 10pm Atlantic Time.

QMJHL:

Right now the Halifax Mooseheads sit 2nd in the East with 97 points.
The Charlottetown Islanders are 4th with 83 points.
The Moncton Wildcats sit 5th with 81 points.
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are 6th with 80 points.
All 4 of those teams will be making the playoffs, unfortunately the St John Sea Dogs have been eliminated since early January.

The Penguins defeated the Capitals 5-3. (Congratulations to Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin on becoming the 49th player in NHL history to record 1200 career points!, Congratulations to Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin on becoming the 88th player in NHL history to record 1000 career points!)
The Blue Jackets hammered the Bruins 7-4. (Boone Jenner with the hatty for the Jackets)
The Sharks one-upped the Jets 5-4. (San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton has passed Stan Mikita for 14th on the all time points list with 1468!)
The Coyotes downed the Blues 3-1.
The Flames scored a touchdown, converted the extra point and added a field goal, they ruined the Devils 9-4.
The Ducks beat the Preds 3-2.
The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Red Wings 3-1. (Carey Price passed Jacques Plante to become the winningest goalie in Montreal Canadiens history, picking up his 315th win, The loss also eliminates The Detroit Red Wings from Stanley Cup playoff contention for the 3rd straight year.)
