PCMHL:
The Northern AAA Subway Selects had a great weekend at the Wellness Centre, they won the first 2 games of a best of 5 against the Station Six Fire.
The first game was held on Saturday where they won 5-4, Natalie MacKay, Ella MacLean, Taylor Long, K-J Emery and Landyn Pitts scored for the Selects. In game 2 they scored early in the 3rd period to win 2-1. Ashley Livingston with that goal, Cassie Clark with the other tally for the Selects. Game 3 is this Friday in Halifax where the Selects can punch their ticket to the Atlantics hosted by New Brunswick in Bathurst in late March, the winner of that tournament will play for the Esso Cup!
Congratulations to the Pictou County Peewee A Crushers who are Conference Champions! They picked up a 3-2 win at the Wellness Centre on Saturday to bring home the championship!
The MHL:
In MHL action last night the Campbellton Tigers picked up a big win against the Edmundston Blizzard, that series is now tied at 1 a piece.
The Lumberjacks have taken a 2-0 series lead against Amherst, they won 6-5 in double OT Saturday night, Logan O’Neil was the hero in that one.
AUS:
The StFX X-Men won the Bronze Medal at the U-Sports Cavindish Cup Championship. They defeated the Saskatchewan Huskies 5-1 to capture that medal. Chase Marchand had a huge game with 48 saves as the X-Men win their 3rd National medal in 4 years, finishing with silver in 2018 and 2016.
NSMBHL:
Congratulations to the Bantam Gulls for winning the NS Major Bantam Championship, they defeated the ACCEL Hawks 2-1 in OT to capture that title. The Wearwell Major Bantam Bombers went 1-1-2 in the round robin and failed to make the elimination stage.
QMJHL:
The Playoff Matchups are set in the Q, here’s how the Eastern Conference matches up…
The Mooseheads will face the Quebec Ramparts
The Moncton Wildcats will tangle with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar
The Rimouski Oceanic will play Chicoutimi

PGA:
Rory Mcilroy was the winner of the Players Championship, he went 16 under.
Nick Taylor was the highest shooting Canadian, he went 10 under and tied for 16th.
NBA:
In NBA action, the Raptors dropped a tough one to the Pistons 110-107, the Pistons sweep the season series with that win.
March Madness:
Yesterday was reveal Sunday and the #1 seeds went to Duke, Virginia, North Carolina and Gonzaga.
NHL:
A good amount of games for a Sunday night…
The Avalanche blanked the Devils 3-0.
The Sabres beat the Blues in a Shootout 4-3.
The Islanders got the OT winner from Brock Nelson as they chased the Wild 3-2.
The Canucks one upped the Stars in a skills competition 3-2.
Sean Couturier with the OT winner in Pittsburgh as the Flyers pulled out a 2-1 win over the Pens.
The Ducks one-upped the Panthers 3-2.
The Golden Knights doubled the Oilers 6-3.
