PCMHL:
The Trenton PeeWee C Steelers ended their season capturing their 3rd banner in the March Break Port Hawksbury tournament. Steelers went 4-0 improving their record to 46-0-1 to end the season. Steelers defeated Cape Breton County 11-0, Straight Richmond 15-2, Baddeck 6-1 and then Baddeck again in the finals 12-2. Player of the games went to Aiden Trowell , Carter Lennon, Lane MacFarlane, and Derrick Mackay with Ethan getting MVP of the tournament. 😁
The Pictou County Bantam AA Crushers collected two more wins on the week-end defeating Truro 7-2, Logan Crosby had two goals with singles going to Cory MacGillivray, Lane Lochead, Reese Smith, Jayden Duplessis, and Kirk Turnbull. Cole Battist collected the win in the Crusher net. On Sunday, the Crushers traveled to Amherst had pulled out a win over Cumberland 5-3 in a chippy a fair. Reese Smith and Logan Crosby each had two goals and one assist. Evan Ramsey was the winning goalie. Pictou County will now wait til the end of the month to play in the Nova Scotia Mainland League play-off tournament in Liverpool. They will go in as the number one seed based on the their first place record of 25-1-2.
Men’s League:
The Middle River Tradesmen won the gentlemens division Donald Keddy Hockey tournament that was held in Westville over the weekend finishing the tournament undefeated.
NCAA:
The First two knockout games of March Madness take place this evening… the Farleigh Dickson Knights and the Prairie View A&M Panthers will tangle to see who will play #1 seed Gonzaga when the tournament kicks off and The Temple Owls will play the Belmont Bruins to see who will play Maryland.
MLB:
Opening day is only 9 days away!
In Jays action, Dalton Pompey drives in two and Teoscar Hernandez homers in Blue Jays win over Tigers 3-2.
The MHL:
Game 3 goes tonight between the Yarmouth Mariners and the Truro Bearcats, the Mariners currently lead that series 2-0.
Other matchups around the Maritime Hockey League tonight, Edmondston and Campbellton will tangle with that series tied at 1-1.
The Summerside Western Capitals will take on St. Stephen with the Capitals leading that series 1-0.
The South Shore Lumberjacks will also play the Ramblers tonight for game 3 of that series, South Shore could put an iron grip on that series, they lead 2-0.
NHL:

The Lightning beat the Coyotes 4-1, with that win the Lightning have clinched the Presidents Trophy as the team who will finish with the most points in the regular season.
The Vancouver Canucks got by the Blackhawks in OT 3-2.
The Jets upended the Kings 3-2.
The Golden Knights hammer the Sharks 7-3.
