The NHL has announced a $100,000 sponsorship for the NWHL this coming season, the NHL previously gave $50,000 to the CWHL and the NWHL but since the CWHL folded they will provide the full amount to the remaining NWHL.
Speaking of the NWHL, they announced they will be expanding to Canada with teams in Toronto and Montreal.

The Victoriaville Tigres picked up an OT win against Val Dor 4-3 to eliminate the Foreures and advance to the Quarterfinals.
The Moncton Wildcats also came up clutch in game 7, defeating Baie-Comeau 3-2 to advance to the next round.
The Halifax Mooseheads picked up goals from Maxim Trépanier, Jocktan Chainey and Keith Getson to complete the series comeback and eliminate the Quebec Ramparts in a 3-1 scoreline last night in Halifax.
Which means the Moncton Wildcats and Halifax Mooseheads will tangle in the quarterfinals. The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles will take on Rimouski.

Last night the Summerside Capitals picked up a goal from former Crusher, Jacob Hickey, Dylan Riley added an assist as they even their series with Campbellton at 1-1 with a 4-1 win.
