PCMHL:
Huge shout out to the Pictou County PeeWee AAA Crushers on picking up the bronze medal at the Atlantic Championship this past weekend. St John’s finished second and Bedford brought home the gold medal.
The Fundy Highland Subway Selects Bantam AAA girls made it all the way to the finals but couldn’t outscore the NB East Bantam Rockets who ended up getting the win 1-0.
Congratulations to the Halifax Mac’s on wining the 2019 Major Midget Atlantics, they’ll go on to represent the Atlantic Provinces at the Telus Cup later this month in Thunder Bay.
The Pictou County PeeWee Wolves went 2-0 this past weekend in Bedford.
Women’s Hockey:
On Saturday night the United States got the upper hand on Team Canada yet again, defeating them 3-2. Team Canada plays Russia tonight, that game starts at 1:30 this afternoon.
Maritime Hockey League:
The Yarmouth Mariners picked up a big 4-2 win last night to take a 3-2 series lead over South Shore.
Tonight the Campbellton Tigers will try to eliminate the Summerside Western Capitals.
QMJHL:
One game in the Q last night,
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have tied their series with Rimouski with a big 2-1 victory last night.
The Mooseheads and Wildcats take the ice on Tuesday, Halifax will be looking to take a 3-0 stranglehold on that series.
NCAA:
The College Basketball Championship will be decided today, #3 ranked Texas Tech will take on #1 Virginia.
NBA:
The Raptors picked up a huge win last night to improve to 57-24, they downed the Heat 117-109.
MLB:
Gary Sanchez smacked 3 home runs as the Yankees went on to hammer the Orioles 15-3.
The Cubbies drop another game to the Brew Crew who improve to 8-2 with a big 4-2 victory.
The Red Sox capped a rough road trip with a slim 1-0 win over the Diamondbacks.
Blue Jays fans didn’t have to wait until the 9th inning for their first run, they scored their only run in the 8th this time, dropping another game to Cleveland 3-1.
NHL:
