Gas went up and Diesel went down this morning at the pumps.
Gas increased 6.1 cents/Litre and Diesel went down 5.4 cents/Litre .
As of January 1st, federally regulated commercial trucks and buses will have to electronically log their driving hours, instead of writing them down.
Nova Scotia Public Works Minister Kim Masland said that It is critically important that drivers in the trucking sector have accurate logs to help avoid fatigue-related incidents.
The federal regulations were changed in 2019 but were not made mandatory until June of last year, which was extended to the end of 2022.
Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and NewFoundland and Labrador will enforce the new rule on January 1st.
An initiative at Northumberland Regional High School has won a provincial human rights award.
The Human Rights Youth Award recognized the student group, The Karma Closet, for providing free access to clothing, school supplies, hygiene supplies, and free meals to the student body.
The initiative began in May 2019 as a Grade 11 yoga class project, and has since been continued by students over the last few years.
The group consists of 45 students from all grades, working together to improve their school community.
They received the award in Halifax earlier this month.
The lastest appointments have been made for the Order of Canada including a couple well known Nova Scotian Athletes.
Sidney Crosby is receiving the honor for being one of the greatest hockey players of all time and supporting youth initiatives in the community.
Colleen Jones is also being appointed for being a Canadian curling legend, as well as a reporter and broadcaster for CBC.
They are among the 99 people on the list.

Connor Bedard has made Canadian World Juniors history for most goals scored at the IIHF World Juniors with 14 goals scored so far.
