There was an increase in diesel prices overnight in Nova Scotia as the Utility and Review Board invoked the Interrupter Clause due to significant shifts in the market price of diesel.
The price of diesel increased by 11.3 cents per litre, putting the minimum pump price for diesel at 197.6 cents per litre locally.
There’s no change in the price of gasoline.

Northern Pulp is warning anyone attempting to steal copper wire from its electrical equipment is putting themselves and others at serious risk by doing so as electricity is flowing to the mill site.
Over the last few months, there have been attempted copper wire thefts from electrical equipment at the mill. While the mill is not currently operational, the electrical systems are still live and employees are working on-site, including 24/7 security.
Northern Pulp’s security department has been providing details of each attempted theft to investigators.
The company building Canada’s first commercial spaceport near Canso says it’s on track to conduct its first suborbital test launch this summer.
The test would involve sending a rocket briefly into space and letting it fall back to earth.
The C-E-O of Maritime Launch Services says work on an access road to the launch site is nearly complete and a small concrete pad for the test launch will then be poured.
