It’s the end of an era in St Stephen for the ACES in the MHL, they’re relocating the franchise to Fredericton, the Fredericton Red Wings will be joining the league and slotting in the Eastlink North Division for the 2019/2020 season. Back in the late 70’s the Fredericton Junior Red Wings were a powerhouse in junior hockey,. Now, almost 40 years later, Junior Hockey is returning to the Capital Region! playing out of the Grant Harvey Center with a capacity of 1500 seats and 700 standing.

In Baseball,
Chris Davis hit his first home run of the season which lead to a 8-1 Orioles win over the Red Sox.
The Cubs got off to a hot start with 3 runs in the 1st inning to run away with a game against the Marlins 7-2.
Teoscar Hernandez made a mistake running the bases in the sixth but made up for it with a 3 run bomb to left, the Jays beat the Twins 5-3.
NBA:
Couple of high scoring games last night..
The 76ers and the Nets combined for 268 points but Philly got the upperhand on Brooklyn, 145-123.
The Clippers got the best of the Golden State Warriors with a huge comeback, winning 135-131.
NHL:
Colorado defender, Cale Makar made his NHL debut in the playoffs and scored his first career NHL goal as Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche torched the Flames 6-2. Colorado leads the best of 7 series 2-1.
Nashville got the game winning goal from Mikael Granlund late in the 3rd period to give the Predators a 3-2 win and a 2-1 series lead.
Carolina tee’d off on the Capitals, Dougie Hamilton and Warren Foegele with a pair of goals as the Hurricanes slaughter the Capitals 5-0.
Nazim Kadri was suspended for the series but it didn’t matter, Andreas Johnsson had a couple of points as the Leafs defeat the Bruins 3-2 and take a 2-1 series lead.
Also, Kadri now holds an NHL record.
Kadri has passed Zac Rinaldo for most suspensions in NHL history due to hitting an opponent in the head with 5.
