Gasoline prices went down by 2.0 cents per litre overnight in Nova Scotia.
The minimum pump price for regular self-serve gasoline is 148.9 cents per litre in the local area.
Diesel prices increased by 2.2 cents per litre, putting the minimum pump price for diesel at 137.1 cents per litre locally.
The provincial government says it will support a new nursing program at Acadia University.
Premier Tim Houston made the announcement yesterday.
The new program at Acadia will be a satellite site of Cape Breton University’s nursing program.
The program will start in September and eventually transition to a standalone program at Acadia.
Also, Nova Scotia Community College will expand its practical nursing program intake with 30 additional seats at each of the Annapolis Valley, Lunenburg, Strait Area, and Truro campuses beginning in September; and Burridge and Kingstec campuses beginning in January 2024, for a total of 180 new seats.
