Telus Cup:
The Atlantic Canada rep, Halifax Macs skated to a 1-1 tie with the Thunder Bay Kings yesterday at the Telus Cup. Liam Keeping with the lone goal for the Macs. They now have a record of 1-1-1 with a game today against the Calgary Buffaloes.
U-18 World Hockey Championships:
Team Canada didn’t get the blowout win they were expecting but still managed to defeat Latvia 3-1. They’ve punched their ticket to the semifinals tomorrow at 2:30 against Sweden.
NFL Draft:
With the first pick of the 2019 NFL Draft the Arizona Cardinals select Oklahoma QB, Kyler Murray.
Ohio State DE Nick Bosa went to the 49ers with the second pick.
The Jets took Quinnen Williams from Alabama with the 3rd pick.
The Bills chose Houston DT Ed Oliver with the 9th pick.
The Patriots nabbed N’Keal Harry with the final pick of the first round.
QMJHL:
The Halifax Mooseheads need a win tonight in Drummondville to advance to the Presidents Cup Final against the Ryoun Noranda Huskies.
NBA:
The San Antonia Spurs have pushed the series with the Nuggets to a game 7, defeating them 120-103 last night.
The Raptors will face the 76ers in round 2, that series begins tomorrow night.
MLB:
Last night in baseball,
The Dodgers got the best of the Cubbies 2-1.
The Red Sox picked up a big win against the Tigers.
The Angels downed the Ynkees 11-5.
Tonight is the big night, Baseball’s #1 prospect, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Will make his major league debut against the Oakland A’s. The first pitch is expect at 8pm.
NHL:
A couple of big games last night as the NHL kicked off the second round.
The St. Louis Blues defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 to take a 1-0 series lead. Robby Fabbri and Vladimir Tarasenko (2, GWG) scored for the Blues.
Jason Spezza and Jamie Benn scored for the Stars.
Jordan Binnington made 27-saves to earn the win.

The Boston Bruins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 in overtime to take a 1-0 series lead.
Noel Acciari and Charlie Coyle (2, OTW) scored for the Bruins.
Brandon Dubinsky and Pierre-Luc Dubois scores for the Blue Jackets.
Tuukka Rask made 20-saves to pick up the win.
