Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston has signed a health agreement with Denmark.
He joined Denmark’s health minister in Copenhagen on Wednesday to sign a memorandum of understanding that will see the province and Denmark share information.
Since last summer, the two have been in contact about sharing best practices, specifically in the areas of cancer care and digital health.
The new agreement means they will collaborate in areas such as digital transformation, health-care at home and non-communicable diseases management.
The Nova Scotia government has created a new Department of Cyber Security.
The minister responsible for the new department, Colton LeBlanc, made the announcement.
The new department will include staff from Nova Scotia Digital Service, which had been part of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services.
There will be 798 employees in the new department, with an annual budget of 229-million dollars.
