The four Atlantic premiers say they want to expand a registry of physicians and surgeons to include other health-care professionals.

Nova Scotia firefighters are stalking the glowing embers of potential hot spots that could re-ignite the Lake Barrington wildfire in Shelburne Country.
Two helicopters are expected to fly the area in coming days, sending back records of high heat areas from their sensors.
The provincial Department of Natural Resources says firefighting teams are on the ground walking through the area, kicking over rocks and examining stumps.
Spokesman Dave Steeves says it’s monotonous work, but it’s key to avoiding having the fire carry on threatening the southern part of the province.
Climate and forestry researchers in Nova Scotia say that when wildfire records are broken, it’s probable that global warming is a factor and that the trend will continue.
Andrew MacDougall with St. FX University, says the forest floor is full of dry, hurricane-created debris ready to ignite when the next dry spell arrives.
That’s why he says Nova Scotia must act swiftly to prepare for future wildfires in the province’s increasingly vulnerable forests.
MacDougall says the province should assist municipalities to create more entrances and exits from communities near forests — and train more firefighters.

Donald Trump is scheduled to make his first court appearance today in an historical criminal case charging the former president with hoarding top-secret government documents.
Trump has approached his Miami court date insisting he has done nothing wrong and is being persecuted for political purposes.
However, the gravity of the situation is unmistakable as he answers to 37 felony counts accusing him of wilfully retaining classified records that prosecutors say could have jeopardized national security if exposed.
