Pictou County District RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station on Bridge Ave. in Plymouth.
On Sunday at approximately 9 p.m., RCMP responded to the scene and learned that a man had entered the gas station, told an employee to give him the till and briefly displayed what the employee believed was a weapon in his waist band.
The man took cash from the till and fled the scene on foot heading towards Foord St. in Stellarton.
The employee was not physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as 6-foot, with light brown hair and having a scruffy beard.
He is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old. The man was wearing a grey hoodie, white t-shirt, blue jeans, dark shoes with white soles and black sunglasses.
Police agencies across Nova Scotia are investigating multiple break-ins to power substations throughout the province over the last 6 weeks. Of note among those incidents:
On June 1, Pictou County District RCMP responded to a report of a break-in to a power substation on, Cove Rd. in Mount Thom.
The substation was broken into shortly after 2 a.m., and a white Dodge Charger was observed to be involved. During the theft, copper wire was stolen.

Doctors Nova Scotia has reached tentative agreements with the province’s Health Department on new four-year contracts for physicians.
The contracts are being presented to doctors for ratification.
The tentative agreements were reached after five months of negotiations.
Doctors will vote on the deal between July 7th and 20th and Doctors Nova Scotia says it won’t release details until after the vote is concluded.
New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs is scheduled to shuffle his cabinet today.
Two ministers quit cabinet this month, both protesting Higgs’s leadership style and changes made to the province’s policy on sexual orientation in schools.
