The Town of New Glasgow made a public call on social media yesterday asking for information on the destruction and vandalization of the community pianos.
The pianos, which are donated by community members, were decorated and placed throughout the town of New Glasgow at the beginning of the summer.
2 of them were vandalised and destroyed in recent days and they are asking anyone with information to call New Glasgow Regional Police.
Nova Scotians can now apply for disaster financial assistance related to damage from the severe flooding last weekend.
The Province’s Disaster Financial Assistance Program aims to help Nova Scotians, municipalities, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations get back on their feet after a major storm or natural disaster.
The program covers up to $200,000 in uninsurable losses per household, small business or not-for-profit organization.

Residents are asked to continue to assess damage, keep all receipts, take pictures and video and work with their insurance companies.
Pictou County District RCMP are asking the public for assistance on finding a stolen truck.
A red 2013 Ford F-150 was stolen from a residence on Egypt Road in Little Harbour sometime during the night of July 15th or the early morning hours of July 16th.
At the time of the theft the truck did not have a licence plate.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Pictou County District RCMP, Crime Stoppers, or submit a secure web tip through crimestoppers.ns.ca or the P3 Tips app.

Pictou County District RCMP are asking the public for help identifying individuals that were driving down Little Harbour road in a black Hyundai Elantra with people hanging out the windows on July 16th.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pictou County District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

The 31-year-old man reported missing in Gold River is believed to have been swept out to sea.
On July 24, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a report of a missing swimmer that had been tubing in the Gold River with two other men when his tube capsized.
He was last seen drifting down the river.
An exhaustive search was conducted and all search areas have been thoroughly covered.
Search efforts have been concluded based on the belief the man was swept out to sea, but the file will remain open, and new search activities will be considered should new information arise.
Prime Minister Trudeau dropped 7 ministers and had a massive overhaul of his cabinet yesterday after rumours of a cabinet shuffle taking place started circulating earlier this week.
This included naming MP Bill Blair as the new Minister of defence, while Anita Anand, who previously held the position, is now president of the Treasury Board.
Another notable switch was New Brunswick’s Dominic Leblanc being named the new minister of Public Safety, while Marco Mendicino was dropped from the cabinet entirely.
It also saw Central Nova MP Sean Fraser be reassigned as the new Minister of Housing, infrastructure, and communities. He was previously the minister of immigration, refugees, and citizenship.
Irish Singer Sinéad O’Connor died yesterday at the age of 56.
