After the Interrupter Clause was invoked by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, diesel prices increased by 7.4 cents per litre on Tuesday.
That puts the minimum pump price for diesel at 189.6 cents per litre in the local area.
There was no change in gasoline prices.
Telehealth workers in Nova Scotia say staff shortages are leading to worker fatigue and burnout, and are calling for higher wages.
Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union first vice president Hugh Gillis says these workers are often the first point of contact in an over-taxed health-care system.
Gillis says the telehealth workers make eight dollars less per hour than people doing similar work for Halifax’s 3-1-1 line.
The union is calling for the current contract to immediately be reopened, even though the contract does not expire until October 2024.

Officials also advise you to turn off the shutoff valve in your basement to prevent any back siphonage of water.
The last surviving miner of one of Nova Scotia’s worst coal mine disasters has died at 91 years old.
Harold Brine was among 12 men rescued after spending six days trapped near the bottom of the Number Two mine in Springhill in the fall of 1958.
Another seven miners were rescued two days later, making headlines around the world, but 75 others were killed.
Brine said in a recent interview that the thought of being reunited with his wife and two-year-old daughter gave him strength.
