Twila Grosse of the PC Party won Tuesday’s provincial by-election in the riding of Preston. It’s a big win for the PCs as the riding had been held by the Liberals for the past 20 years. Grosse captured over 45-percent of the vote, with NDP candidate Colter Simmonds coming in second. Voter turnout was just under 39 per cent for the byelection that was necessary after the resignation of former Liberal MLA Angela Simmonds in April.
