A manhunt is underway in Lewiston, Maine, after mass shootings at a bowling alley and a bar left a reported 22 people dead and dozens more injured.
A police intelligence bulletin has identified the person of interest as a man who trained as a firearms instructor at a U-S Army Reserve training facility in Maine.
The document circulated to law enforcement officials says the suspect had been committed to a mental health facility for two weeks in the summer of 2023, but did not provide specific details about his treatment or condition.
It said the man had threatened to carry out a shooting at a military training base.

Police learned that early Saturday morning, at approximately 4:50 a.m., a Pride Flag was torn down, bending the flag pole in the process.
A person of interest, appearing to be a man with facial hair driving a grey Ford F150 pickup, was seen at the location at the time.
Investigators believe the crime was motivated by hate.

Nova Scotia’s Housing minister has come in for some criticism over vague numbers as to how much will be spent on dealing with a housing shortage.
On Monday, John Lohr said the government would spend over one billion dollars over five years to ensure a predicted shortfall of 41-thousand housing units will be avoided.
However, fresh figures were released the next day by his department estimating the spending plan is more like 1.7 billion dollars over the same time period.

The Town of New Glasgow is advising that the S.W. Weeks Sports Complex (Parkdale) track and fields will be closed for approximately 2 weeks while the track is resurfaced.
The gravel portion of the parking lot will also be closed during this time to accommodate construction vehicles.

The New Glasgow Fire Department Santa Claus Parade will take place on Saturday, November 25th at 5:30 p.m.
