East Hants District RCMP have obtained an arrest warrant for a man in regards to incidents of intimate partner violence that occurred between November 2022 and November 2023 in Lantz.
32-year old Ralph Martell, who may be residing in Pictou County, is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault and Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order.
Martell is described as 5-foot-8, 145lbs, with dark brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who sees Ralph Martell, or who knows where he may be, is asked to contact East Hants District RCMP or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
RCMP in Antigonish say an 83-year-old man is dead after being struck by a car in the town.
Police say they responded to a report that a pedestrian had been hit on James Street Tuesday evening.
The victim, an Antigonish resident, was taken to hospital where he later died.
Police say the driver, a 67-year-old Antigonish man, was not hurt.

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston presented the province’s highest award for bravery to four individuals Wednesday during a ceremony at the legislature.
Among those who got the award is former Halifax bus driver Talbot Boyer, who pulled a man from a burning vehicle moments before it exploded back in 2021.
Fellow medal recipient Adam Lefort saved a woman from drowning in Cape Breton two years ago.
Robert McGregor was honoured for his heroics in 2020 when he pulled an unconscious person from a burning home, and medal recipient Scott Buchanan saved two people who fell through ice at a waterfall.
The Grand Slam of Curling event continues today at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.
