QMJHL:
Game 5 is tonight as the Halifax Mooseheads travel to Rouyn Noranda to battle the Huskies for the Presidents Cup. The series is tied at 2-2, the series could end Saturday when game 6 is held in Halifax. Both teams are 1-1 at home so far this series.
IIHF World Hockey Championship:
The 2019 IIHF World Hockey Championships begin tomorrow morning in Slovakia, team Canada will be involved in the first buck drop at 11:15am. They’ll be taking on Team Finland.
Two time Stanley Cup Champion Matt Murray of the Pittsburgh Penguins will be Team Canada’s starting goaltender.
MLB:
Yusei Kikuchi made his first visit to NY and it was a successful one, he threw 7 2/3 innings of 1 hit ball to propel the Mariners to a decisive 1-0 win over the Yankees.
Jackie Bradley Junior lept over the wall in the 11th inning to absolutely rob the Orioles of a home run, that would be exactly what the doctor ordered, next inning Andrew Benintendi went yard to give the Red Sox a 2-1 final.
Another walk off home run for the Cubs, the second in as many games, this time in the 11th inning as they lay the hammer into the Marlins 3-2.
The Blue Jays were dusted last night by the Twins, 9-1.
NBA:
The Millwaukee Bucks have dominated the Celtics all series and last night was no exception, they cruised to a 116-91 win and eliminate the Celts in 5 games.
The Golden State Warriors needed a close game but they managed to pull ahead of the Houston Rockets 104-99. Golden State leads that best of 7 3-2.
NHL:
The second round is over and we’re on to the finals!
The San Jose Sharks came up BIG last night against the Avalanche and picked up the game 7 victory 3-2. Joe Pavelski, Tomas Hertl and Joonas Donskoi scored for the Sharks, Mikko Rantanen and Tyson Jost pocketed the puck for the Avalanche. Martin Jones made 27 saves in the victory.
The Conference Finals begins TONIGHT! The Boston Bruins will defend home ice against the Carolina Hurricanes, that puck is set to drop at 9pm.
Tomorrow night in the West, the St Louis Blues will head to San Jose to take on the Sharks.

Women’s Hockey:
Another blow to women’s hockey yesterday as the only remaining league, the NWHL has recieved word from Pegula Sports & Entertainment that it will no longer be providing financial support or running the Buffalo Beauts which leaves the team without any money or any direction.
