An advisory from Nova Scotia RCMP for business owners on how to recognize and avoid targeted email scams known as spear phishing.
The fraudsters will get access to your email and use the information they find to impersonate you, and email potential victims, manipulating them into paying fake bills, sending gift cards or changing direct deposit information.
Businesses are tricked into believing the source of the request is real and send money or goods directly to the fraudsters.
Police suggest businesses protect themselves by educating employees about this type of scam; have detailed payment procedures in place; and limit the number of employees who can purchase items or pay bills.

Party Leader Kyle Woodbury and treasurer Ryan Smyth say that a shortage of volunteer support is the reason behind the decision. They stress that financial challenges are not behind the move to end the party.
It was 2010 when the Atlantica Party was first registered, but the party has never run a full slate of candidates or had a candidate elected to the provincial legislature.

Today is World Sleep Day and it’s observed across the globe on the Friday before March Equinox.

Travellers are taking that extra step and seeking out unique experiences, amenities, and environments that help them achieve their sleep and relaxation goals.
