It remains an open question whether Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will lead the Liberal party into next year’s federal election.
A source tells The Associated Press Trudeau is not expected to announce a decision on his future over the holidays, as he travels to B-C with his family.
He also didn’t offer a public comment when leaving a cabinet meeting on Canada-U-S relations.
Among Trudeau’s options upon his return from holiday are suspending Parliament so a Liberal party leadership race can be held, or he could delay an opposition day when a non-confidence vote could be scheduled in Parliament.
