The Nova Scotia N-D-P is calling on the Progressive Conservative government to address long wait times in emergency rooms. A new report released recently found that 10 per cent of patients who visit Nova Scotia E-Rs leave without being seen. N-D-P member and doctor Rod Wilson says the government must work to ensure more people can access health care when they need it. Wilson also says there is a lack of transparency when it comes to the government’s actions and that Nova Scotians deserve to know what’s being done to address major health care issues.
Nova Scotia Health has paused the text message appointment reminder service after discovering a small proportion of patients had incorrect times included in their reminder on Tuesday.
The reminders will remain paused while it addresses the issue. The pause affects reminders for appointments at Nova Scotia Health and IWK services and some specialists.
