R-C-M-P in eastern Nova Scotia say they have suspended the search for a child who fell into the water in Cook’s Cove.
A news release from the R-C-M-P says the search was suspended on Saturday around 5 p-m.

R-C-M-P say they have arrested two suspects and are still searching for a third following a motor vehicle crash near Brookfield. They say officers responded to a crash on Highway 102, Exit 12, on Friday around 1 a-m and found that a pickup truck and an S-U-V had crashed and three men had fled the scene on foot into a nearby wooded area. Police say one of the suspects, a 27-year-old, who was also wanted on provincewide arrest warrants was found after a short foot pursuit and a little while later they arrested a 17-year-old — who was armed and wearing body armour — near Eastern Passage. They say efforts are on to arrest the third male, and so far officers say they have recovered three firearms, two sets of body armour, ammunition and two vehicles — one of which they believe is stolen
Two of the federal party leaders were in BC on Sunday. N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh pitched that his party is the best choice to keep Conservative candidates out of Vancouver Island, for those concerned about a Conservative victory. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was at a BC grocery store to make an announcement on inflation, saying a reduction in government spending would ease pricing pressures. Meanwhile, Liberal Leader Mark Carney will be in Truro this afternoon after making an announcement this morning in Charlottetown. Later in the day he heads to Fredericton.
