The largest wildfire in Nova Scotia continues to burn out of control in the Annapolis Valley, but it did not grow overnight. Nova Scotia’s Department of Natural Resources says that’s thanks to some rain that fell on Sunday night, but the province says conditions have dried up since then. The Long Lake wildfire in the Annapolis Valley is composed of a series of fires that cover roughly 32 square kilometres of land. Firefighters are focusing efforts on the northern side of the wildfire that is closest to homes near West Dalhousie.
