Local students had a great weekend at the provincial track and field championships at Acadia University in Wolfville. In that update from North Nova and Northumberland….Keighan DeCoff won provincial gold in shot put, Allie Sandluck picked up the provincial silver in the 3000m and the Intermediate Girls 4x400m won bronze! Keighan DeCoffalso provincial gold in the Intermediate Girls discus.
Kristen Ross of Northumberland Regional High School picked up bronze in Intermediate Girls 1500 metres and 800 metres. Eilidh Cameron from NRHS got the bronze in the Intermediate Girls 3000 metres. John-Luke Taylor from Northumberland took the bronze in Senior Boys 100 metres. Brett Claveau-Corbin from Northumberland gets the bronze in the Senior Boys high jump. And it’s a Silver medal for the Northumberland Senior Boys 4 x 400 relay team.
Rugby:
Congratulations to the North Nova Gryphons Girls Rugby team who won silver at provincials this past weekend, they dropped the championship to Citadel High.

MLB:
The Colorado Rockies completed the sweep of the Blue Jays winning 5-1 yesterday afternoon.
NHL:
Game 4 is tonight in St. Louis and the Blues are looking to tie the series back up after an embarrassing 7-2 loss on Saturday night.
The puck drops at 9pm.
NBA:
The Golden State Warriors proved they weren’t going to let all the hype get to them, they went into Toronto last night and stole game 2, 109-104.
Game 3 is Wednesday night when the series shifts to Oakland.
