The Snowfall Warning from Environment Canada is continued this morning for Pictou County. We could see another 5 to 10 cm of snow this morning before it tapers voff this afternoon. That snow will be combined with winds gusting to 50kh.
A memorial of flowers and stuffed animals grows in Tumbler Ridge as the northeastern British Columbia community reels from Tuesday’s mass shootings that left nine people dead, including the shooter, and more than two-dozen others wounded. R-C-M-P have charged a 22-year-old man with trafficking cocaine following a traffic stop in the Truro area. Police say they executed a warrant and conducted a targeted traffic stop in Bible Hill on February 4th, arresting the driver. The police say that in the vehicle they found a large quantity of suspected cocaine, cash, a digital scale, eight cell phones and a laptop computer. The Debert man faces charges of trafficking, possessing property obtained by crime and two counts of failing to comply with release conditions.
Premier Tim Houston is set to address offshore wind investors at an international conference in New York today.
Houston will be a keynote speaker at the offshore wind and ocean renewables event.
The province says Houston is expected to promote investment opportunities, suggesting Nova Scotia has the potential to generate more than 60 gigawatts of offshore wind energy.
Houston’s government says it aiming to make the province an “energy superpower.”

Another bronze medal for Canada at the Milan Cortina Olympics. Figure skaters Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier earned the medal in ice dance. That boosts Canada’s medal total to four _ three bronze and a silver _ but it’s the country’s first in figure skating since winning four in 2018 in South Korea.
