Gas and diesel prices continue to rise due to market volatility with the conflict in the Middle East. The price of regular gasoline increased by 5.0 cents per litre overnight in Nova Scotia, while the price of premium gasoline went up by 4.8 cents per litre. The minimum pump price for regular self-serve gasoline now sits at $1.53 per litre in the local area. The price of diesel rose by 10.3 cents per litre, putting the minimum pump price for self-serve diesel at $2.02 per litre locally.

In following Nova Scotia regulations regarding information on High-Risk Offenders, New Glasgow Regional Police are advising that a high-risk sex offender is residing in the community.
44-year old Matthew William Rozins has been released into the community under supervision.
Rozins has been convicted of a number of offences in the Barrie, Ontario area, including Sexual Assault, Assault and Committing an indecent Act. He’s also been convicted of offences in Nova Scotia and charged with offences in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. New Glasgow Regional Police will continue to monitor Rozins and will conduct regular compliance checks to ensure he is abiding by the conditions of his release.
Nova Scotia Music Week is happening in Truro from November 12th to 15th. Music Nova Scotia says the four-day festival will celebrate the province’s artists and industry professionals through performances, conference programming and its annual awards ceremony. The festival is making its return to Truro after five years with tickets starting at 40-dollars plus fees and taxes. The executive director of the central Nova Scotia Tourism Development Society says they are “excited to welcome artists, delegates, and music fans from across the province and beyond to experience Central Nova Scotia at its very best.”
