NHL:
For the first time in franchise history, the St. Louis Blues are your 2019 Stanley Cup Champions! Jordan Binnington had a history book performance as the Blues defeated the Bruins 4-1 to pick up the victory.
Captain, Alex Pietrangelo scored the game winner and Ryan O’Reilly won the Conn Smythe as the playoff MVP. Next on the calendar? The NHL draft takes place on the 21st.
The Toronto Maple Leafs won last night too! They now have sole possession of the longest Stanley Cup drought in the NHL
Congratulations to Larry Robinson! He won his 10th Stanley Cup last night as the Senior Consultant to Hockey Operations for the St. Louis Blues.
Men’s league Lobball:
bullfrogs won both games vs river rats. First one was 17-16 and game two was 23-21. The 8:30 game went to the young guns over the Lobstars.. I was told they won by at least 10 runs in a 9 inning game, they decided to shorten their double header from 2 games to 1 9 inning match-up because of the Cup final.
CFL:
Now that the NHL season is over, time to look at Canadian Football, the CFL regular season kicks off tonight when the Saskatchewan Rough Riders take on the Hamilton Tiger Cats. That game kicks off from Tim Hortons Field at 8pm.
NBA:
Game 6 from Oakland is tonight and the Toronto Raptors will try and mimic the St. Louis Blues and win the Championship on the road. The tip off for that battle will be at 10pm. If the Warriors manage to tie the series, game 7 will be this Sunday at 9.
