NBA:
The NBA Draft was last night in Brooklyn.
The first overall pick was the Duke superstar Zion Williamson, he was chosen by the New Orleans Pelicans.
Ja Morant went to the Memphis Grizzlies at #2.
RJ Barrett went to the Knicks with the 3rd pick.
De’Andre Hunter to the Lakers and Darius Garland to the Cavs rounded out the top 5.
The Raptors don’t pick until the 59th selection.
MLB:
The Toronto Blue Jays avoided the sweep against the Angels winning 7-5 in extras.
Women’s World Cup:
Team Canada had a tough loss last night against the Netherlands, they fell 2-1. They will take on Sweden in the knockout stage this Monday.
CFL:
A high scoring tilt last night in the CFL as the Ottawa Redblacks pick up a 44-41 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
NHL:
The NHL Draft is tonight in Vancouver. It all kicks off at 9pm.
The Oilers select 8th, the hometown Canucks have the 10th pick, the Canadiens will selects 15th, Ottawa has the 19th pick, the Jets select 20th and the Flames have the 26th pick.
The Leafs have no selections in the first round.
